For too long, our industry’s work has often taken place quietly, in the field, behind the plans and downstream from the public conversation.
But protecting soil and water is not simply a regulatory requirement. It protects communities, supports responsible development and safeguards the resources our families depend on.
In this article, I share what stepping into the role of Vice President of Advocacy for IECA means to me, and why advocacy must extend beyond policy to include education, collaboration, relationships and real-world action.
Our industry has an important story to tell. The more clearly and confidently we tell it, the greater our opportunity to influence meaningful change.
